1936 Ford Coupe

The 1936 Ford Street Rod is a beautifully restored and customized classic built with 100% steel and powered by a robust LT1 Corvette engine paired with a TH350 transmission. It features a custom aluminum radiator and electric cooling fans to keep the engine running cool. The suspension has been upgraded with a Kugel independent front setup and coil-over shocks added in 2023, along with new rear shocks and leaf springs from the same year. A Ford 9-inch rear axle handles the power, complemented by custom dual exhaust and power front disc brakes.

Inside, it offers vintage air conditioning and heating, power steering, and power windows, plus a tilt steering column for driver comfort. The custom-built dash houses VDO gauges, while a Pioneer FH-P401 stereo with AM/FM and CD player provides modern audio entertainment. The interior is fully leather-clad, including the headliner, with reclining bucket seats sourced from a Dodge Charger adding both style and comfort.

The build spanned five years from 2001 to 2005 and involved a complete frame-off rotisserie restoration, including a custom-built boxed frame and steel running boards. Its exterior theme is minimalist, with very few chrome emblems, rounded fenders, and a dropped front end by nine inches and rear by seven inches for a sleek stance. The headlights, featuring internal turn signals, are lowered seven inches, and the front and rear body panels are rolled and tucked for a smooth, clean look.

Notable custom touches include a 3rd brake light flush-mounted below the rear window, Harley Davidson rear tail lights, and a rumble seat converted into a truck bed. The fuel filler has been cleverly relocated behind the license plate. True wire wheels wrapped in new BFG tires from 2022-15 inches front and 14 inches rear complete the package. This Street Rod is a stunning blend of classic style and modern performance, with just 11,000 miles on the engine and build since its completion.
