Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Blazer 2WD is an exceptionally rare find-one of only 1,277 factory-built two-wheel-drive Blazers produced by GM that year. Not a converted 4x4, this true CEE-coded Blazer retains its original rear-wheel-drive chassis and factory ride height, offering a more refined, car-like ride while preserving the rugged charm of a classic SUV.
Under the hood, it's been upgraded with a modern LS 5.3L Vortec engine mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission. Exhaust flows through headers into glass packs for a deep, aggressive tone. A custom aluminum radiator and dual electric cooling fans keep the engine cool, even in warm weather or traffic. Vintage Air A/C blows ice cold, and the upgraded Bluetooth Retro Sound stereo paired with four rear-mounted box speakers keeps things cool inside too.
The interior has been completely redone in new red vinyl, featuring factory-style utility bucket seats and the hard-to-find rear interior panels that complete the look. The cabin also features a new gauge cluster, a chrome tilt steering column, and a new steering wheel, blending vintage style with modern comfort.
Painted in deep black with a recent clear coat, the exterior is straight and solid. While not a show-level finish, it presents well and just needs a proper color sand and buff to take the shine to the next level. It sits on classic 15-inch rally wheels with fresh BFGoodrich tires, maintaining its stock stance for a comfortable and confident ride.
